Primary Teacher

1 Year Full-time Term

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree and eligibility for NWT Teacher Certification.

 

Candidates should have experience working in a community school and be sensitive to the community needs. Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Proven ability to work independently
• Experience working in Primary grades;
• Have experience working as part of a collaborative team;
• Have cross-cultural experience in an Indigenous community; knowledge of Wiiliideh Yatti preferred.
• Are familiar with Dene language, culture, and values
• Have experience working in a MAG (multi-aged grouping) classroom
