Ecole William McDonald School

Teacher: Grade 8 Homeroom (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Health) and Physical Education for gr. 8, 6/7, and 7/8

Full-time (100% FTEQ)

Term: January 4, 2023 to June 27, 2023

 

Requirements for this full-time position include:

• Bachelor of Education Degree
• NWT Teaching Certificate or eligibility to receive certification
• Current vulnerable sector and criminal record check
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers on research-based learning practices and strategies 
• Ability to work in a team environment 
• Understanding and experience working in inclusive schooling environments
• Understanding of Differentiated Instruction 
• Understanding and experience working with diverse learners
• Shows initiative in programming and working with school supports 
• Ability to adapt to new situations
• Experience or interest in teaching physical education

Candidates must have an original acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) in place. The original VSC must be dated within 90 days of the date the application is received. This is a condition of employment, and must be in place prior to commencing work in any school.
