Yellowknife Education District No. 1 invites applications for the

following positions:

Program Support Teacher

N. J. Macpherson School

JK to Grade 5
January 4, 2023 to June 27, 2023

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree, a NWT Teacher Certification and :

 

• At least 5 years of teaching experience, required
• Knowledge of the Inclusive Schooling Directive
• Understanding of the various programing in the NWT
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in team teaching and co-planning
• Knowledge in a variety of current best practice strategies  
• Experience in working collaboratively on a school or district based team
• Comfortable with technology to support students and staff
• Knowledgeable in a wide variety of NWT curricula
• Knowledge and understanding of Inquiry Based Learning
• Willingness to work with outside agencies and consultants
• Knowledge and experience with Dene Kede

Candidates must have an original acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) in place. The original VSC must be dated within 90 days of the date the application is received. This is a condition of employment, and must be in place prior to commencing work in any school.
