Yellowknife Education District No. 1 invites applications for the following one year term position: 

 

Bilingual (French/English) Program Support Teacher

Grades JK to 5 – École Itlo

FULL TIME (100%) TERM

2023.2024 School Year

 

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree, a NWT Teacher Certification, fully bilingual and:

 

 

• Knowledge of the Inclusive Schooling Directive

• Understanding of the various programing in the NWT

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Experience in team teaching and co-planning

• Knowledge in a variety of current best practice strategies  

• Experience in working collaboratively on a school or district based team

• Comfortable with technology to support students and staff

• Knowledgeable in a wide variety of NWT curricula

• Knowledge and understanding of Inquiry Based Learning

• Willingness to work with outside agencies and consultants

• Knowledge and experience with Dene Kede

• At least 5 years of teaching experience required
