K’àlemi Dene School
Numeracy Support Teacher
Full-time (1.0 FTE)
Term to June 30, 2025
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree and eligibility for NWT Teacher Certification.
Candidates should have experience working in a community school and be sensitive to the community needs. Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- At least five years of successful teaching experience
- A proven ability to work independently
- Experience working in an elementary school
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team;
- Cross-cultural experience in an Indigenous community; knowledge of Wiiliideh Yatti preferred.
- Familiarity with Dene language, culture, and values
- Experience working in a MAG (multi-aged grouping) classroom
